J5 Coffee: This cool and modern coffee shop is a pleasant surprise in such a quirky, old fashioned town! Order a Con Panna and you’ll thank us later. (@j5coffee)

Argonaut Espresso Bar: We visited this little espresso bar daily while we were in Leavenworth. Their coffee is strong and smooth, and the people that work there are friendly and helpful. You’ll love their cappuccino! (@argonaut_espressobar)

Breakfast

Good Mood Food Cafe: Fresh juices and healthy breakfasts are their specialty - and after stuffing our faces with pretzels, sausages, and beer - it’s exactly what we need! They also serve a really good belgian waffle, if you want to keep the indulgent streak going! (Good Mood Food on Instagram)

The Gingerbread Factory: This famous little bakery may not technically be a “breakfast spot” - but they do have delicious baked goods (who says a cookie isn’t breakfast?!) and really tasty breakfast wraps! (@gingerbreadfactory)

Lunch/Dinner

Leavenworth Sausage Garten: Fresh local ingredients meet old world traditions at this outdoor sausage garden! The sausages are fresh and flavorful and they have a never-ending selection of mustards and toppings to add! Their patio is dog-friendly, so you might as well order a sausage for your pup, too! ;) (@leavenworth_sausage_garten)

Munchen Haus: This spot also only serves sausages and beer (well, and the occasional soup and pretzel), but it’s good. Really good. And the atmosphere is lively and loud. Try the Whiskey Barrel Hard Cider if you’re gluten free! (@munchenhaus)

  • Bobby’s pick: The Big “BOB” Bratwurst (obviously!)

  • Alli’s pick: Mediterranean Chicken Sausage

South: Fresh, modern Latin food that’s bold in flavor and served in a fun and bustling environment. Make a reservation, as word has definitely spread about this place. You HAVE to order the guacamole! (@southfriends)

  • Bobby’s pick: Three Little Pigs

  • Alli’s pick: Baja Style Fish Tacos

A Taste of Icicle Ridge Winery: If you love white wine, you’ll love Icicle Ridge. They have two locations, but our favorite is the one downtown. They have several flight & pairing options, so you’re bound to find something to fit your liking! (@icicleridgewinery)

Woodsman Pub: Hidden away in the Bavarian Lodge, this “micro pub” is one of the best kept secrets of Leavenworth! Beer & apps with a stunning view of downtown... Yes please! (@woodsmanpub)

Posthotel Leavenworth: We have yet to stay here… but it is HIGH on our list since our trip to Leavenworth! Nestled in the heart of Leavenworth with breathtaking mountain views, this luxury wellness hotel will have you feeling as though you’ve been transported to the Alps. Included in your stay is a European breakfast, light lunch, evening coffee and tea, pool and wellness areas, bicycles, and SO much more. Well worth the splurge, if you ask us! (@phleavenworth)

Icicle Village Resort: This is where we stayed last time in Leavenworth - half because we got a deal, half because it sounded fun! The rooms are basic and clean, the complimentary breakfast is hearty, and the grounds are fun and quirky. (And it’s the only 3 star resort that’s dog friendly!) (@iciclevillageresort)

Bavarian Lodge: This lodge is cozy, quaint, and as Bavarian as could be. Included is one of the best complimentary breakfasts in the area, and “Woodsman Pub” - their micropub - is perfectly rustic! (@bavarian_lodge)

All Things Outdoor: Whether you’re wandering around the nearby Waterfront Park, or driving 20 minutes to the stunning Lake Wenatchee State Park, there is SO much beauty to explore in this part of Washington!! You can hike, ski, swim, and more depending on the season and your interests. If you’re a camper, bring your tent!

Breweries, Distilleries, and Wineries... Oh My! There are SO many of these in the area - and they’re worth spending an afternoon (or a day or two!) checking out! Doghaus Brewing, Blue Spirits Distilling, and Silvara Vineyards are some of the best!

Old Time Photos: Studio 1890/Bavarian & Old Time Photos: When in a Bavarian Village, one MUST take a Bavarian photo. Sure, it’s touristy, sure it’s overpriced. But this is one tourist stop we make an exception for. The photos (and the memories) will last forever! (Studio 1890 on Instagram)

Doghaus Brewery: This “pintsized” brewery is little and hard to find - but it’s worth the effort!! Mostly because the beer is good - but also because they’re SO dog friendly! (@doghausbrewery)

Lake Wenatchee has several dog-friendly trails (they must be on-leash), and Leavenworth Outdoor Center has float tube rentals for the entire family - dogs included!
